About the Mokkou Kamon
The kamon is the crest chosen as a symbol, like a coat of arms, to designate a family in Japan. Each unique design is highly symbolic, and usually represents important ideology at the core of each family. The mokkou itself represents a stylized cross-section of a gourd. The term mokkou in Japanese can mean meditative or contemplating.
